This statement from ADPAN celebrates the pardon given by the Philippines President to Mary Jane Veleso who was due to be executed on the same night in 2015 as Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran of the Bali 9  before it was called off at the last minute. She was repatriated to Indonesia in December 2024 after which her death sentence was commuted to permanent imprisonment. However she remained in custody until 24 September 2026 when she was granted an absolute pardon.
