Broadway fear of 13: Nick Yaris’ case

The attorney responsible for securing the exoneration of Nick Yaris, whose 22 year long wrongful conviction story is now a Broadway play called ”The Fear of 13”. He was the first person exonerated from Pennsylvania’s death row and her first death penalty case.

The article demonstrates the difficulties in getting DNA tested in the USA after conviction due to restrictive laws, prosecution opposition and poor procedures for evidence preservation. It also describes the work of the Innocence Project  for which the attorney now works.
